WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
DONATIONS
We are grateful for any amount you wish to donate. No contribution is too small. If you would like to specify how you would like for us to apply your contribution, below is a list of items to choose from:
Hay
Veterinary care
Medication costs
Equipment and supplies (water hoses, fence panels, tractor tires and
repairs, gas, etc.)
Please contact us for further information.
MUSTANG SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
Individual horse sponsorships are offered on an annual basis. A one-year commitment of $600 will contribute toward feed, fresh water, a clean and safe environment, and veterinary care for the horse(s) you choose to sponsor. Consider sponsoring a horse on behalf of your family or business. Sponsorships also make great gifts.
You may choose the horse you wish to sponsor from the horses profiled on the "Meet the Horses" page.
As a sponsor you will receive a framed photo of your horse and monthly updates and photos. Additionally, visitation may be arranged by appointment.
Please contact us for further information.
OTHER WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE:
MEMORIAL FUNDS
Placitas WILD would be happy to set up a memorial page for you in honor of a loved one. Through a designated webpage on our website, you will have the opportunity to raise funds in your loved one's name that will honor them by providing care to the horses of Placitas WILD.
Another way to honor a loved one is to donate to Placitas WILD on behalf of your loved one. We will send a card to the family acknowledging your contribution.
Please contact us for further information.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
(AKA "WILD THERAPY")
Volunteers provide much needed care to this group of wild and feral horses. We are very appreciative of our volunteers for their help in feeding and watering the horses, mending fences, cleaning the corrals, and assisting with other projects around the preserve.
The relationship between our volunteers and theses horses is reciprocal. In addition to providing nurturing care to these mustangs, our volunteers express the deep sense of peace and comfort these incredible animals bring to their lives. Connecting with horses has often been considered the best form of therapy.
Please contact us for more information.
“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time.
They just have the heart.”
