Placitas WILD Horses

Placitas Wild Horses provides a safe haven for wild horses collected and saved from both BLM (Bureau of Land Management) and tribal lands. We provide a home for them free from traffic and constant harassment from unsupportive community members while giving them daily care, food, water and shelter as well as any veterinary support needed. Dedicated volunteers have designed and manage the haven in ways that support the social wellbeing of each horse. Additionally, we also actively search for permanent, loving homes and families for the younger horses in our care while using our haven to care for any horse that is too old or too frail to be adopted.
